You did the work. Bill all of it.

Quick calls, short emails, hallway questions — the entries that never make the bill. TRYX puts a timer one tap away, turns voice notes into billing language, and rounds to your firm's increment.

Invite-only private beta

One timer, within a tap of wherever you're working.

iPhoneApple WatchHome Screen WidgetsDynamic IslandWeb Dashboard

From first tap to final bill.

The timer is the front door. Behind it, everything that turns tracked time into a clean bill.

One-tap timers

Tap a client, the clock starts. Switch clients mid-thought and the previous entry saves itself. One timer, zero bookkeeping.

Voice notes, formalized

Say what you did in plain words. AI turns it into billing language a reviewing partner won't rewrite — and suggests the task code to match.

On every screen

Home Screen, Lock Screen, Apple Watch, Dynamic Island. Start and stop without opening the app — or unlocking the phone.

Built-in review

Lawyers submit drafts; admins approve, edit, or send them back. Thin narratives get flagged before they ever reach a bill.

LEDES + Clio

Export LEDES 1998B and CSV, or push approved entries straight to Clio. Matter IDs and UTBMS codes travel as separate fields, the way billing systems expect.

For every practice that bills by the hour.

Solo

Solo practitioners

You're the timekeeper and the billing department. Track from your phone, dictate notes on the move, and export LEDES or CSV yourself — no back office required.

Firms

Growing firms

Invite your lawyers and review their time in one place. Post-submission changes go through a proper edit-request workflow, and firm analytics show where the hours actually go.

Carrier-billing practices

UTBMS task codes and LEDES 1998B are first-class fields here, not an export afterthought. Bill in the format carrier guidelines demand, from the first entry.

Start the clock without opening the app.

Start and stop from the Lock Screen, the Home Screen, or your wrist — capturing time takes less effort than forgetting it.

  • Home Screen widgets: your recent clients, one tap from a running timer
  • Live Activity and Dynamic Island keep the elapsed time in view while you work in other apps
  • Apple Watch: glance at the timer and stop it from your wrist

Dictate it once. It arrives billing-ready.

Say what you did in your own words at the moment you stop the timer. TRYX formalizes it into professional narrative language, suggests the UTBMS code, and carries both all the way to the LEDES line.

  • Formalization runs on-device with Apple Intelligence when your iPhone supports it
  • Billing-code suggestions drawn from what you actually said
  • Thin narratives get flagged as needing detail — before an admin or a carrier auditor sees them

Every lawyer's time, ready for review.

Submitted entries land in one queue with matter IDs, task codes, and hours in separate columns — the way billing reads them. Approve, edit, export, or push approved time straight to Clio.

  • Approve or edit submitted entries; changes after submission go through edit requests, not silent rewrites
  • Firm analytics, expenses with receipts, and client portal links in the same place
  • Block-billing warnings surface lumped entries before they hit an invoice
TRYX admin dashboard: submitted entries with matter IDs, task codes, billable hours, and one-click approve

Your calendar knows what you forgot to bill.

TRYX overlays your device calendar on your tracked time. Meetings with no matching entry get flagged, and one tap pre-fills the time entry — client, time block, and all.

  • Week view of tracked time, color-coded by client
  • Unlogged meetings flagged automatically; tap one to log it
  • Your calendar is read on-device only — it never leaves your phone
TRYX iPhone calendar: a week of tracked time with matter IDs, task codes, and hours per block

And the rest of the box.

Every one of these ships today.

Block-billing warnings — lumped entries flagged before they hit an invoice
Needs-detail flags — thin narratives caught at the draft stage
Rate tiers — firm-wide rate levels with per-matter defaults
Increment rounding — every entry rounds to your firm's billing increment
Offline capture — timers and entries keep working in courthouses and dead zones, then sync
Expenses with receipts — photo receipts stored privately, reviewed by admins
Client portal links — share outstanding and approved time with a tokenized link
Edit-request audit trail — post-submission changes are requested and approved, never silent
Face ID name privacy — client names hidden until the lawyer taps to reveal

Built around how legal billing actually works.

1 tap

From your Lock Screen to a running timer. The capture cost is lower than the cost of forgetting.

0.1 hr

The six-minute increment. Every entry rounds to your firm's billing increment automatically — no mental math at the end of the day.

1998B

The LEDES format carriers and corporate clients require. TRYX exports it natively, with matter ID and task code as separate fields.

Your time entries are work product. Treated accordingly.

Private until submitted

Draft entries and notes are visible only to the lawyer who wrote them. Nothing reaches the firm until you submit it for review.

No AI training on your data

Your notes and entries are never used to train models. Formalization runs on-device with Apple Intelligence when your iPhone supports it.

Isolated by design

Row-level security separates every firm's data at the database layer, encrypted in transit and at rest. Client names can hide behind Face ID. Read our security overview.

From setup to a clean bill.

01

Set up your firm

Add clients and matters, set your billing increment and rate tiers, invite your lawyers. Minutes, not a migration.

02

Track as you work

Tap to start from the app, a widget, or your watch. Dictate a note when you stop — TRYX formalizes it and suggests the code.

03

Approve and export

Admins review submitted time, then export LEDES 1998B or CSV — or push approved entries straight to Clio.

In private beta with founding firms.

TRYX is being built hand-in-hand with practicing lawyers. Founding firms don't just get early access — they shape what gets built next.

  • Hands-on onboarding
  • A direct line to the team
  • A voice in the roadmap

Questions firms ask us.

How do I get access?

TRYX is invite-only during the private beta. Email info@tryxapp.com with your name, firm, and role — we set up your firm and walk you through onboarding directly.

What does the beta cost?

Pricing is finalized with founding firms during the private beta — email us and we'll walk you through it. No public tiers yet, on purpose.

What devices does it run on?

iPhone and Apple Watch today — including Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activity, and Dynamic Island — plus a web dashboard for every lawyer and admin in the firm. An Android app is in development.

Can I get my data out?

Anytime. Export LEDES 1998B or CSV from the dashboard, and approved time can push to Clio. Your time entries are yours.

Where does my data live?

In a Postgres database with row-level security isolating every firm, encrypted in transit and at rest. Notes stay private to their author until submitted, voice formalization can run entirely on-device, and nothing is ever used to train AI models. Read the security overview.
